If you’re dreaming of a unique vacation in Zanzibar, consider extending your adventure with a short safari in Selous Game Reserve. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Selous is celebrated for its vast wilderness spanning 48,000 square kilometers, making it Africa’s largest wildlife reserve. The reserve offers a serene environment where you can encounter diverse wildlife in their natural habitat, amidst challenges such as poaching and proposed development projects.
Experience Selous from various perspectives by engaging in a range of activities such as game drives, where you can explore off-road trails, boat safaris on the meandering rivers, and bush walking tours for an up-close encounter with nature. Additionally, immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to a Maasai village.
Selous is not only a fantastic standalone destination but can also be combined with a safari in the nearby Mikumi National Park or a historical tour to Kilwa Kisiwani, enriching your Tanzanian adventure. At Selous, the abundance of activities like driving, boating, and walking allows you to experience wildlife from multiple angles. We are eager to showcase everything this majestic reserve has to offer.
The trip is available in a group or private/ family options.
