Tanzania safari budget weekend in Mikumi National Park. This trip is designed for those who don’t have too much time and wanted to get a glance of Tanzanian wildlife and culture. We will seek out the vast variety of reptile, trees, animal and bird species that have made Mikumi their suitable home. On the way, we take you to Masai Market. Here you will see Maasai selling and buying cows, goats. you will get time to try local Maasai barbecue mostly its goat meat, there is also traditional Maasai alcohol. Experience the nature and culture in Tanzania!

2 days Tanzania safari budget weekend in Mikumi National Park, approximate distances and travel time:
Dar Es Salaam -Mikumi: 300 km/5-6 hrs on the way.
Early morning 6 am, pick up from your Hotel / Airport or another agreed point in Dar es Salaam to start your day safari with the roughly 5-hour drive to Morogoro. Break to visit Masai Market. The Maasai market is open every Saturday, from 07 am to 6 pm just one-hour drive from Morogoro. You have to visit there to learn, see and experience real African life, local BBQ, traditional handcraft and local Maasai. on the market Maasai trading cattle and selling material and jewelry. The Maasai still wear their traditional garments and stretched earlobes.

After breakfast start game drive to Mikumi. Mikumi National Park provides great safari experience regardless of the time you have in Dar Es Salaam or Morogoro town. In Mikumi expect to see wild animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos and more than 300 bird species. The game drive will continue till around 4 pm and after drive back to Dar Es Salaam.
