Ruaha National Park is one of Africa’s largest and wildest parks .The park has a very large elephant population. More than 571 species of birds have been identified in the park. Among the resident species are hornbills. Many migratory birds visit the park. Other noted animals found in this park are cheetah, African leopard, lion (Africa’s second largest population, representing 10 per cent of the world population), African wild dog (third largest population in the world), spotted hyena, giraffe, hippopotamus, African buffalo, and sable antelope.. Ruaha is famous for its Ruaha River, plenty of swimming crocodiles .
It’s a wonderful National Park beautifully situated along the fertile Ruaha River in a hilly landscape dotted with centuries old baobabs. Despite the fact that you can view all the animals of the popular Serengeti and Ngorogoro, it is much less visited. You will be completely in peace with the nature, seeing only a handful of other cars per day.

4.00 am pick up from hotel in Dar Es Salaam to Ruaha National Park . On arrival, go for lunch ,and after to the Lodge to check in and take short break . Afternoon optional Walking safaris inside the park ,Visit to lake Nyasa ,Tours of Iringa (a German colonial settlement a century ago) or Visits to Masai bomas to watch displays of traditional dancing .
Walking safari in Ruaha National Park let you will explore the park by a nature walk for 2 hours with a first rate Guide and two-armed park rangers to insure your safety.
After activities coming back to the Lodge for dinner and over night.
Depart from the camp at 08.00 am and return before dark. With picnic lunch boxes, you will enjoy the game driver to explore the land scap of Ruaha and a lot of animals .Here the game sightings are excellent and you will relish the real feeling of open wilderness and the lack of crowds!The game viewing will concentrate on the great Ruaha riverbank, Mwagusi Sand River and Mdonya River, ending with a sunset wilderness game drive to sunset, dinner and the overnight stay at Camp/Lodge.
After breakfast you will drive back to Dar Es salaam with a lunch box to enjoy along the trip. Upon arrival, you will be dropped-off to your hotel, air or sea port. This is where your safari will end.
